Fundamentals: Yesterday’s weekly Crop Progress report showed that the U.S. corn crop is just 22% planted, 28% behind the average pace. Big laggards in the I states have drawn some concern by some. Illinois is just 15% planted, 43% behind average. Indiana is 11% planted, 28% behind average. Iowa is 14% planted, 49% behind average. It looks like the forecast should allow for some of those areas to play catchup in the coming days/week.
